Türchen goes charity: How Beate Gallus empowers children with HerzFace and Türchen
What exactly does your initiative do?
In 2015, I, Beate Gallus, founded the HerzFace initiative. It offers a wide range of activities for children and young people on the topic: “Be YOURSELF, be STRONG from the inside out!” The projects are based in the areas of education, art and culture. HerzFace is also a service provider, cooperation partner and ambassador with the message: Help hearts, strengthen and connect. The symbol of the initiative is “MUCKi”, the lively and cheerful courage-giving heart. It is an ambassador for courage, love and hope. With various activities, I would like to encourage children in particular to trust in themselve – to BE themselves – and to stand up for their attitude. The focus is on strengthening self-esteem, promoting human interaction and creating heartfelt moments.
How did your digital advent calendar come about?
In 2018, we came up with the idea of creating our own “digital” Advent calendar. The HerzFace calendar of 24 heartfelt wishes was born. With MUCKi as the Christmas heart, a simple motif calendar was launched, which was provided in alphabet form with loving messages and posted daily. In 2019, my first real digital calendar was created, in which you could open a door every day. But I wanted more! More creativity and options for presentation and design. I started looking for a suitable provider and that's how I came across Türchen.com. Because it's not just the name that says it all.
What purpose did you use the calendar for?
With the calendars, I want to increase accessibility in order to touch the hearts of as many people as possible. They inspire us to embark on a journey to ourselves and to perceive our world in its uniqueness. When we integrate mindfulness and awareness into our daily lives, it not only strengthens us, but also promotes togetherness.
Have you collected donations and could Türchen support you?
I haven't collected any donations yet, but I see it as a valuable opportunity to be able to carry out many more projects in educational and social institutions in the future. After all, the initiative is mainly financed from its own funds. I am therefore very grateful for the button in the calendar tool that allows you to link to my donation page.
How did you come across Türchen?
The process of creating the calendar pushed me to my personal limits, which I wanted to overcome. So, I began researching and came across Türchen.com in 2022. From that point on, everything was clear.
The endless possibilities that Türchen.com offers are immense. I was fired up, absolutely enthusiastic, and started the implementation. This resulted in the creation of two advent calendars: MUCKi's World Tour through Advent and the HeartHuman Journey through Advent. Last year, I also benefited from support for nonprofit projects.
What did you particularly like about Türchen?
The diverse possibilities offered by Türchen.com provide a particularly significant added value for me. The tool is easy to use. You can integrate the calendar into your own website, making it easily accessible to your community. The straightforward, professional, and quick communication with the service team is an additional valuable bonus. Many heartfelt thanks for that!
